Haarlem Artspace champions rural contemporary art regionally, nationally, and internationally through exhibitions, residencies, publications, symposia, talks and events.

Haarlem Artspace is based at our Gallery which is within the collaborative Red Lion Hotel and Feather Star Alehouse. Interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and collaboration are at the heart of our work.

History of Haarlem

Haarlem was the first coal-powered mill in the world and is one of the possible settings of George Eliot’s Mill on the Floss.
