At Haarlem Gallery over the Wirksworth festival, we are showing a film by Maud Haya-Baviera, opening Saturday 3rd September and open over the weekends 11-4pm up to Sunday 18 September with an after-show event with the artist from 5pm at the Gallery on the first floor of the Red Lion Hotel. The eponymous film is influenced by a re-reading of Robinson Crusoe during the pandemic and was made in homage to Chinua Achebe’s 1958 work. 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑨𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 is an immersive artwork with a score edited from over twenty audio tracks, including sections from the opera Norma overlaying mesmeric imagery.
Haarlem Gallery is situated upstairs in the Red Lion Hotel, Market Place, Wirksworth DE4 4ET
