ALISON COTTON + THE SILVER FIELD
An evening of immersive, transportive sound bringing together two singular voices in experimental music.
This tour celebrates the release of Alison Cotton’s fifth album The Gods Laugh, out 19 June on tak / Glitterbeat.
Alison Cotton (London) composes deeply atmospheric works built around viola, harmonium and layered vocal drones. Her acclaimed releases — All Is Quiet at the Ancient Theatre, Only Darkness Now, and The Portrait You Painted of Me— have earned praise from The Quietus, The Guardian and beyond. Her latest work Engelchen continues her exploration of history, memory and place through haunting, long-form composition.
“The power of this music is simply awe-inspiring. When Alison Cotton plays, the world stands still.” — The Quietus
Joining her is The Silver Field, the project of Rose Kindred-Boothby — weaving voice, modular synthesis and self-built instruments into dreamlike, fluid soundscapes. Blending folk, electronics and psychedelia, her performances move between the intimate and the expansive, the earthly and the otherworldly.
Expect an evening of drone, ritual, texture and storytelling.
