Haarlem Artspace Podcast

A new body of site-responsive work from Victoria Lucas. Presented as an installation that combines a variety of media, including video, sculpture and photography, the project has been developed during a month-long art residency at Haarlem Artspace. Reclaiming an island of physical space as a form of playful protest, the exhibition investigates culturally engrained representations of femininity using local sites and stories as a backdrop.

Video works by a selection of artists as well as Victoria Lucas were featured. The exhibition was open for three consecutive weekends, culminating in a seminar on Saturday 15th September, where Victoria Lucas and Curator, Haarlem Artspace co director Liv Punnett, were in conversation.

‘Where Rock & Hard Place Meet’ then travelled to Bloc Projects in Sheffield.
