Abstract self expression—using our bodies as tools! In this energetic and playful workshop, children will explore movement and self-expression by creating large-scale abstract artworks. Expect splashes, shapes, textures, and lots of freedom to experiment as we paint, layer, and build exciting mixed media pieces.

To make each artwork extra special, children are encouraged to bring along their own materials to include—anything that feels meaningful or fun! This could be magazine images, colourful papers, scraps of fabric, or small collage items they’d love to see become part of their creation.

All materials are provided. If your child has a SEEDLINGS sketchbook from a previous session, we’d love them to bring it along—especially if they have new drawings or ideas to share. Children are also welcome to bring found objects, buttons, beads or other small materials to personalise and embellish their artworks.

Led by experienced art educator Katy, SEEDLINGS encourages curiosity, confidence, self-expression and creative exploration. There is no pressure to produce a perfect finished artwork—our focus is on enjoying the process, experimenting with materials and discovering new ideas together.

Parents and carers are asked to stay throughout the session and support their child where needed, while encouraging independent exploration and a little creative mess along the way.

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for art-making. Aprons and protective bibs will be available.

Spaces are limited to 22 children, so advance booking is essential.
