Looking Forward to 2023
After a tumultuous 2022, there are lots of new and exciting activities planned for Haarlem Artspace this year, which we all hope will help promote Wirksworth as the top cultural destination it aspires to be. Social events for 2023 include Kitchen Table pop-ups, music and film nights for the May Bank Holiday weekend and an international and professionally curated programme for the Wirksworth Festival in September.
Haarlem Artspace is committed to promoting Wirksworth’s diverse community of makers and shakers in its mission to champion rural contemporary art in all its forms and The Haarlem Project will be a catalyst for creative practice and economic regeneration of the town and wider area.
Also, currently in its early stages, the Wirksworth Sculpture Trail will be a collaborative opportunity for Haarlem Artspace to work with Wirksworth Town Council, Civic Society, Institute of Quarrying, Stoney Wood Group and Wirksworth Festival on an ambitious contemporary sculpture trail.
