I’m an artist and creative upholsterer using the materials and techniques of traditional upholstery to make functional and non-functional furniture pieces and/or artworks from old chairs, footstools and boxes.

I’m interested in revealing the hidden layers of the reupholstery process and fascinated by the human relationship to furniture: the physical matching of arm to arm, back to back, the idea of experiencing an old chair as a repository of memories…
