Kate is a visual artist whose work is informed by marks that life has left behind, both in the landscape and of self; the beauty in decay, the subtle and not so subtle marks and layers of interactions with the landscape - by humans, flora and fauna and the elements - and the story that tells.

Working in both ceramics and a range of mixed media including paint, gesso, textiles, and natural found materials and, typically, a simple, subtle colour palette, she explores the ideas of traces of what was once there and what remains.
