Helen Jukes is a writer and writing tutor. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Port Magazine, Aeon, The Clearing, The Junket, Caught by the River, and others. Her first book, A Honeybee Heart Has Five Openings, is published in the UK, across Europe, in America and Australia. As a tutor, Helen has led workshops for the National Writing Centre of Wales, the Wordsworth Trust, Writing East Midlands, Freedom from Torture, Crisis UK and HM Prison Service. She currently teaches on the Creative Writing programme at Oxford University, and is a guest lecturer at the University of Nottingham.
